I am a highly skilled and experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist/Counsellor with extensive experience within the NHS Mental Health (primary and secondary care), University and Charity sectors.  I am also currently employed as a counsellor within the NHS.  Experience of working with high risk, severe and complex cases and safeguarding working under BACP guidelines and ethical framework as a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) this enables me to have an entry on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I believe that through the process of understanding ones mind we can lead rich and self-fulfilling lives with greater depth, understanding and enriched relationships.  The relationship between the therapist and patient can be a vehicle for growth of the individual and it is by this that the process can help the individual begin to understand themselves and their experiences.

I have worked extensively with various presenting problems including:

  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Family related problems
  • Employment difficulties
  • Health
  • Bereavement
  • Relationships
  • Grief
  • Difficulties dealing with emotions
  • Self-harm
  • Anger
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Low self-esteem
  • Low confidence
  • Domestic violence
  • Abuse
  • Sexuality
  • Psychosomatic disorders
  • Anxiety disorders

At 121 North West London Counselling I work within BACP guidelines and ethical framework.
